Smallwoods - Graphic Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and self-driven Graphic Designer to join our team. The individual will be a member of our Marketing Team and aid in delivering effective, aesthetic and on-brand visual concepts for the brand. This role is an in-house position here in East Texas and provides key support in brand reputation and revenue generation. So just know we’re all counting on you!

  • Participate in graphic creation (design + illustration), use of stock imagery, text overlay
  • Design graphic art that is visually enticing, easy to understand, emotionally engaging and true to our branding guidelines
  • Routinely collaborate with marketing team members to create and design for print and digital
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within creative specifications
  • Work collaboratively with other designers and marketing team to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user experience
  • Produce clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end with creative/marketing team
  • Maintain updated information on project management software of your tasks and status
  • Meet various deadlines throughout the course of each project assigned to you
  • Multi-task various projects at once scoping promotional material for different products, seasons, and sales
  • Stay connected with the latest standards, changes, and trends in the visual design field as well as demonstrate a commitment to building on your knowledge and staying current in your skills

The Past Experience

  • 2+ years in graphic design or related field
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated graphic design skills with strong portfolio (both digital and print design experience preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects all at once, with competing deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize amidst continuously shifting demands
  • Demonstrated clear, direct communication style, with the ability to lead and educate senior management on current and future digital trends
  • Recent, hands-on experience with all things digital (SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Email, CMS, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices

Smallwoods - Front-End Developer

Job Description

Smallwoods is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to maintain and support our technology needs. The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain React / Frontend apps to plan for growth to meet future needs. This is a role for someone who likes to take ownership, enjoys working in a quickly changing environment, has a great eye for detail, and is energized by making people’s lives easier and more productive. The Person

The ideal candidate is experienced in the following technology areas:

  • Knowledge in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with REST API’s

  • Experience with React/Redux, Webpack / bable and Git
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Deployment

The Position

  • Responsible for building and maintaining react apps in Shopify
  • Also, maintaining, editing and building new Shopify themes

The Past Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in an information technology field or related engineering/technology field

Smallwoods - Master Electrician

The Position

The Master Electrician will lead, plan out, and/or execute all electrical activities on assigned projects, repairs, and installations for plants and machinery throughout the company.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate electrical risks throughout all facilities
  • Troubleshoot equipment to diagnose and correct electrical issues
  • Install electrical components for new and existing equipment using manufacturers guidelines and electrical specifications
  • Provide oversight for electrical related repairs performed by Team Members
  • Utilize problem solving tools to identify root causes for equipment or facilities failures
  • Plan out and install electrical services for new construction and leased facilities

Job Requirements

  • State of Texas Master Electrician License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
  • Experience working in Industrial or Manufacturing environments
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing Manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

We are looking for upbeat, enthusiastic people who want to take part in something great we have brought to East Texas! This is for part time positions during our Market weekends which is every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Follow directions of Event Manager for each event
  • Initiate a genuine, friendly, and personal greeting to our guest as they arrive
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shift and leave at designated time
  • Provide guests with helpful directions/suggestions that will enhance their experience

Will work with the Chef and be responsible for one or multiple areas of the KITCHEN/FOOD TRUCK such as the grill or fryer, depending upon the size and scale of the restaurant. AM/ PM

Job Description

Will make or break the customer experience. Responsible for taking orders in a friendly manner, sending orders in a correct and timely manner to the kitchen, and calculating the bill. They will also help with the cooks boxing and putting out orders. They will also help with the loading and unloading of the truck. They will run the register as well.
